Mojo Berry® Mulberry trees

If you have always wanted to grow fresh mulberries but not had the space, this new dwarf mulberry is the answer. Traditional fruiting mulberry trees are usually slow-growing but eventually get very large - over 6m after 10-20 years. They also tend to take several years to begin fruiting. Mojo Berry changes all that - it reaches a mature height of about 1.5m within a few years, and should start fruiting from its second year. As supplied these trees are around 1m high.

However there are some compromises, the flavour for eating fresh is not quite as good as the old traditional mulberries, although still sweet and perfectly acceptable, and just as useful for culinary purposes.

Mojo Berry® is a protected variety.

How to grow Mojo Berry mulberry trees

Like all mulberries, this dwarf variety is reliably self-fertile so you only need one tree. It also fruits over a longer period in the summer than the full-size trees.

Be sure to protect the tree from freezing weather over the winter - the dwarf form is much less tolerant of frost than the full-size trees.

    These trees are not grafted.
