Trailblazer is an ornamental cherry-plum (Prunus cerasifera) which is primarily grown for its attractive bronze leaves and simple white blossom. However it will usually produce a light crop of small dark red cherry plums. These can be cooked, and have a pleasant sweet flavour if left to ripen on the tree.

How to grow

Trailblazer is self-fertile, and will produce a small crop even without another pollinator nearby. It will also pollinate some other plum, cherry-plum, and damson varieties that are in flower at the same time.
