All about Edinburgh birch

Edinburgh is upright hybrid of the silver birch, discovered growing at the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens.

The tree grows with an upright habit, and the stem will become a pure white colour as the tree matures.

Growing and Training

Edinburgh should reach a height of around 6m in 10 years.

For the best appearance remove shoots lower down the stem as the tree grows in the first few years after planting. This will ensure the stem of the mature tree is clean and blemish free.
