Ballerina amelanchier

£75.00
Amelanchier Ballerina blossom

Ballerina is an attractive small flowering tree with an upright spreading form. It is rather more vigorous and "tree-like" than many other Amelanchiers, and in spring from a distance can easily be mistaken for a crab-apple or hawthorn.

The new leaves emerge with coppery tints, before turning green over the summer, and then attractive red and orange autumn colours.

Small blueberry-like fruits are borne in the summer, these are edible but best left to the birds.
