All about Violetta plum trees

This is a great dual purpose plum to either eat straight off the tree or to cook into hot tasty crumbles!  Originating from Sweden it has a glorious dark blue/purple hue when fully ripe.

History

Violetta was developed in the 1990s at the Balsgaard research station in southern Sweden. It is a cross between Grand Duke and Herman.
