R J Hilton has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit

R J Hilton is an excellent example of the Snowy Mespilus species Amelanchier laevis. In spring the profusion of young flowers have a pink hue before opening to pure white. The early spring blossom has a coppery tint.

In autumn the leaves take on autumnal colours.

You may also get a small crop of dark black/blue fruits (known as Saskatoons).
